Part of a young person’s education should involve learning how to be a strong and confident leader. We strive to import leadership skills such as being capable of making responsible decision thinking critically and acting as a positive role model by assigning leadership, roles such as school pupil leader, Asst.spl, Class Leader, Sports Captain, Group Leaders, etc. not only are students honored to hold these titles, but are able to positively manage themselves and each other.

Personality means a set of qualities which makes a person distinct from the other, we understand that the development of a child in a way he/she becomes socially, morally and ethically progressive is the need of the hour if the focus is just on grades and marks the quality of students is limited. We focus on studies as well as co-curricular activities to enhance their thinking ability; we improvise the method of feeding the personality. Thro’ games, cultural programs, learning disciplinary tasks, celebrating national and international festivals at school, upholding various competitions involving in scientific activities. We assess children on how they interact with the teacher and also among themselves and up holding core values such as punctuality, honesty, etc. Sports activities buildup presence of mind, children large taught to get rid of their stage-phobia from their very childhood.

Though there is no end to the learning process, certain activities inculcate fun and active participation among students. We customize the learning experience of each student by involving them in psycho stimulant activities such as quiz, debates and discussions constantly that it helps in team- building, ensuring competiveness and fermenting harmony among the students.

“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers”, A child’s reading skills are important to the success of the school as it will allow them to access the length and breadth of the curriculum and improve their communication and language skills. We have identified reading as a key area of development and plan to setup a reading club that will encourage students to read more and develop a strong reading culture.

Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like anyone else. We incorporate fun art and craft activities in school that requires the exercise of several motor skills and allows the child to be more independent. The idea behind these activities is to work on developing their feelings, thinking and co-ordination skills, creativity, decision making & critical thinking

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women, merely players”, said Shakespeare with theatre activities, students awaken their inner dramatist. They can act, dance and sing for applause ready audience. It teaches the students to think quickly, read others as they perform, sharpen their wits and react to the audience. They don’t need any props- just the courage to step outside themselves we intend to introduce theatre techniques that can also be applied to the subject area to increase engagement, creativity and critical thinking.

“ The best way to predict the future is to invent it”, In today’s technology driven world, it’s important to prepare students for the future by teaching our students the basis of robotics, we can open a whole new world to them and exciting opportunities that they wouldn’t have access to otherwise, we have teamed up with KCT that offers ST&M (Science technology engineering and mathematics) programs to student of class 6 to 8 for the year 2019-2020, who will work on their first engineering projects in the school. At the end of the year, they will receive a ST&M certificate from KCT. We are proud to create future ready engineers who would act now and without delay.

“Any action done with beauty and purity, and in complete harmony of body, mind and soul is art”, it is well known that Yoga& meditation changes the way brain function in many ways, as well as providing a healthy physique. The calming effects are especially useful in the school settings were children often have to sit for long periods of time. We have long since taken the step to add Yoga and meditation to our curriculum. Basic Yoga Asanas like Vrikshasana, Trikonasana, Bhuyangasana, etc are taught to the students to plant the seed of healthy living at an early age which will allow the students to feel more supported and feel less stressful, both academically and personally.

“A child should know better than to consider anything impossible”, we aim to create an adventure club in school that strives to offer our children  create memories, have fun together and enjoy what’s happening around them as we believe that adventurous activities help the child perceive what is happening around him. The child can involve himself in activities that will change & motivate him, as well as strengthen his development. Child perceives what is happening around him. “We don’t paint dreams or night mares, we paint our own reality”, children need to work on their motor muscles to do fine work. Painting is just one way to work those muscles. We intend to provide fun painting class that would induce creative thinking, broaden the mind and feed the soul.

Holistic development of children is only achievable with a pragmatic approach that imparts learning by doing and experiencing things, we involve our children in the experience of participating in science exhibition  that enhance their knowledge and help them understand that the challenges that the earth is facing such as global warming, pollution, use of water resources etc. can only be deal with the interference of a scientific approach. We are proud that our students are winners and overall  champions of various high level science competitions.

“Learn a language and you’ll avoid a war”, the importance of English language cannot be reduced, even if so desired. It is important that the learner has a good command over the language to allow him all success in life. We have made arrangements to establish a good English lab, where our students are exposed to functional language, familiarized with pronunciation  styles and learn language concepts thro’ games and practice exercises.

We plan to introduce the concept of activity room which is carefully designed for our children to work with various fun filled activities. Setting the right kind of environment inside the activity room can unleash the child’s creative energy.

We have integrated with Edusports that focuses on teaching the basics of sports to all children, involving an inclusive curriculum that is developed, keeping in mind the physical and psychological needs of children. We are keen to ensure that every child participates in sports activities and lead a healthy and active lifestyle.

The more Opportunities there are for children to engage physical activity, the healthier they will be Martial arts such as Judo, Silambam and Karate are taught within our premises. Martial arts is education and teaches humility and self-control. RKV-ians have been national-level winners in combat sports, bagging the gold numerous times.

We must change children from a ‘what can I get’ to a ‘what can I give’ attitude. Our Bharat Scouts & Guides team achieves it’s purpose of helping young people develop physically socially, intellectually and spiritually, imparting skills like leadership skills, team building, outdoor adventure, education and fun. Our Scouts have won the prestigious governor award for their excellent skills.
